Daily Press Editorial: Rising chorus of democracy
One thing you can say for American politics these days: It's energized.
Consider this: There will be at least 45 of the 100 House of Delegates districts where candidates from both major parties are running.
Well, OK, that's not a brilliant beacon of democracy. But it beats the truly pitiful total of 28 races with major-party contests in the 2015 election.
There's still some time, too. The deadline for the earliest nominations in districts where there's no primary is about a month away.
